Question : In SQL Server 2008's Full-text Search, when a term is found in a thesaurus, does the query recursively search for further matches on the replacement or expansion?

Answer : No, the first replacement found is used. Thesaurus expansions are not recursive. The first term found is used and all subsequent ones are ignored.
